The Masters group has two target regattas each year. One of these is the Legions regatta which this year was held at Karapiro 8th May. This was our first regatta for over a year so a keen group of twenty rowers plus Dick Joyce as coach made the trip north. 

WRC achieved four gold medals (golds were the only medals awarded) as well as a goodly number of second and third placings.

24 clubs, 328 competitors and 24 coaches and 36 races over the day with a number of divisions to match age ranges. 

The team stayed at a new location called the Podium on the outskirts of Cambridge, recently purpose built for sports persons like us. 

Once again, great organisation with boat loading and unloading as well as fantastic food which is becoming the hallmark of our Masters group.
