The club provides opportunities for rowers and coaches from outside New Zealand to come and row or coach at Wellington Rowing Club during the competitive season from September to March. Help with finding employment can be found in our online help page below.

In the 2005/2006 Season rowers from Germany, England and France raced at the National Championships wearing the Wellington Rowing Club colours.

Martin Tschaege (Deutschland) earned a bronze medal for his performance in the Senior Men's Pair. Martin was in New Zealand completing his Masters in Law at Victoria University.

Steph Arlaud (France) completed her second season rowing in New Zealand racing in the Club Women's 8. In her first season (2004/2005), Steph earned a silver medal at the National Championships in the Novice Women's 8. Steph is currently working as an Architect and preparing for her third rowing season at Wellington Rowing Club.

Martin Keogh (England) arrived in Wellington only recently and has been plunged into the horrors of winter training with the Open Men's squad. Martin is working as a physiotherapist in between preparing for his first season at Wellington Rowing Club.
