Wanganui Long Distance
Aramoho Park to National Library Building and finish AWRC Pontoon, 8.06km with a turn after 6.5km rowing into a head wind! Sunday 10th of September 2006.

Several WRC club squads have been vacationing on the lovely Wanganui River, with such rowing vacations timed to synchronize with the Small boat regattas held on the Wanagnui River. The Open men have been performing well in the previous regattas, but victory (based on prognostic times) has eluded the men's squad. However, in difficult conditions the WRC Open men's squad 4- triumphed over a strong Aramaho-Wanganui based Wanganui IP 4- to take the fastest time and best prognostic. Also pleasing was that the 2nd four from the WRC Open Men's squad was not far behind taking 4th overall. 8.06km with a turn after 6.5km rowing into a head wind!
